Kinder Camp

Kinder Camp is a fun, full-day summer camp managed by the Greater Morristown YMCA under the direction of Jim Capella.  The 9-week camp is for children eligible to enter Kindergarten in September.  Kinder Campers have access to the Y’s outdoor camp complex and state-of-the-art facility, including our indoor pool and full basketball gym.  The camp also includes entertaining activities at the Richard F. Blake Children’s Center’s outdoor playground and “Little Honey” indoor play space.

Kinder Camp features indoor recreational swimming, outside play, nature walks, arts & crafts, cooking, and sports.  The camp has theme weeks and several special events throughout the summer with fun games, entertainment, and lots of exciting ways for your child to play and learn with friends.  Optional daily swim lessons are offered by the Y’s certified aquatics staff.

Little Owls Child Care

Little Bit of the Owls is a half-day summer child care program where children ages 3-4 years old can experience a little bit of the Blake Children’s Center.  The Program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2 to 5 days/week options are available.

The Little Owls Program includes nature walks, arts & crafts, story time, singing, cooking, science and exploration for your child to enjoy all summer long.  Little Owls have plenty of time for outside play and exciting games in our large indoor play space.  The program also features weekly swim lessons with certified instructors at the Y and a healthy daily snack.  Like all programs at the Blake Center, the Little Owls Program has a low teacher to child ratio and is supervised by experienced, nurturing early childhood educators.
